Yes, you will be able to import Photoshop files (.psd files) directly into Vegas 11 Pro and keep the layers and the transparancy.
If you want to use photoshop to edit video, you will need the extended version of photoshop.

These things you can make with a particle generator like Particle Illusion or Particular. Even Boris has a kind of particle generator plug-in for Vegas

Boris RED contains nearly all the filters from BCC. The big difference is that RED opens in its own interface and BCC opens in the Vegas interface. So it depends what you like most. But ofcourse RED has more functionality then just BCC filters…

How do you get RED GIANT plugins availabe into Boris RED? I don’t see any RED GIANT plugin in Boris RED 5…
