When you would combine this secondary color correction with LEVELS and COLORCURVES, your output should become even much more acceptable.

A quick way to remove the greenish color: add the secondary color correction to the event (or to the whole track or project).
In the popup window that opens, you find 1 colorwheel.
Beneath the colorwheel are two pipets.
Click on the left pipet. Your mouse becomes visible as a pipet. Click with your mouse (the pipet shape) in your preview window on a part that is supposed to be black. The greenish color will disappear.

If you are not satisfied with the result, just reset the effect (doubleclick on the white dot in the colorwheel) and repeat on another black spot in the preview window.

And photoshop has the option to use the ruler to calculate (and apply) for you the degrees of rotation you need to get a line strainght horizontal…
Works much better that rotating by hand.

If your camera tape drive has an option for LP mode, there will be no problem. (Except ofcourse that the quality of the final result might be less than when it was shot in the SP mode…)

It could be that you have set the preview window to FX BYPASSED.
On top of the preview window there are several buttons. Click on the SPLIT SCREEN VIEW button and see if your effects become visible again.

There is a Vegas 8.1 version which supports 64bit windows Vista. You can download Vegas 8.1 here:

yes, but certain plugins (e.g. Boris FX) will not work in Vegas 9.

An alternative is to duplicate your track.
Apply a blur to the upper track and mask out the region you don’t want to blur. Add a (big) feather to the mask in order to have a smooth transition between blur and no-blur. In this way you can make your blur exactly as you like.
