    Hello all,

    I’ve a problem with Sony Vegas 8.0;

    I’ve just arrived from my holiday location and I thought; let’s make a film about it. Now I have saved the AVI files on my computer I imported them in Sony Vegas. I perfectly see the videoline and beneath it the timeline but when I click on play i can’t hear anything! It’s not muted (already checked that) and in my own microsoft movie player i DO hear sound but now i don’t, how that comes?

    Hello Walter,

    Which codecs (audio and video) were used for your avi files?

    If you captured these file in Vegas, you should see two lines on the timeline – one video, with a grouped audio track beneath it.

    Assuming you can hear audio when you play it back in the camera, you may have captured it wrong. Or simply neglected to bring in the audio track.

    Like Theo said, we would need to know all about the formats involved.
