Thanks Russ, that took care of it… I have another question… twice now my Mac Pro has reported a General Error 42 and dumped a bunch of my captured video. It’s not in the trash and I can’t find it anywhere on the computer… I looked up General Error 42 but it’s supposedly obsolete… whatever that means. Anyone encountered this before? It’s making me nervous…

Hi Russ,

I burned it using iDVD, you’re correct. I have to export it using Quicktime, and I’m worried that’s what’s causing the issue. However, to your second question, yes the footage looks a little washed out as compared to the smaller size in FCE when I enlarge it to full screen.

Thanks, yes, it will for future projects. However, I’m stumped as to how to capture my current film as it was filmed in 12 bit.
