Thought it worked but now it’s gone back to looking like crud. I’m completely stumped now.
I tried re-doing the project in an hd format, thinking maybe that would help, but have seen the same results.
Frustrating…

Oh sorry about that, it’s a little tough to tell by the pictures. Once it goes to big screen, it looks like junk.

Hmmmm, seems it was set to ‘automatic’ and looks the same even when put to ‘highest quality’. Any clue which other settings might be the problem?

Premiere is set at DV 29.97i, 24p Coversion Method Interladed Frame (2:3:3:2), Display Format 30 fps Drop-Frame Timecode.
It looks like Premiere’s the ticket though, the straight avi is clean. What should I adjust?

If you haven’t checked out the tutorials at https://www.videocopilot.net/ they’re fantastic and can probably help you with some of the stuff you’re trying to do. The host of the tutorials, Andrew Kramer, uses Partical World from AE and Particular quite often.
