    Here’s the JVC link to enable the MP4 SDHC record function on the non-SXS JVC GY-HM700U.
    Also turns on support for Class 10 SDHC cards.

    The BR-DV3000 works fine as a DVCAM feeder. Has the RS422 port and takes fullsize cassettes. The run about $1500 new or $1200 for bstock.

    The JVC BR-DV3000U(B) works fine with as a DVCAM player or feeder into a NLE, it just won’t record DVCAM, only DV.

    A bstock unit with warranty cost $1195. New in the box $1500.

    December 27, 2007 at 5:32 pm in reply to: HD 110 vs. 200

    Here’s the differences on the GY-HD110 and GY-HD200 from the JVC site:

    Everything the GY-HD110U has plus:

    * 14-bit A/D (better highlight, shadow, & color gradations)
    * New DSP (improves picture accuracy)
    * Wide band analog front end (lower noise, better low light, sharper image)
    * High speed Super Encoder (enables 50p/60p recording)
    * New cross converter outputs 1080i from live or recorded HDV
    * Image inversion (HV flip) for prime lenses
    * White shading adjustment to compensate for differing lens characteristics
    * Pro Anton/Bauer battery mount (basic battery & adapter not included)
    * 6-pin remote control connector
    * 2-year warranty (parts) 1-year (labor)

    I’d go for the GY-HD110 instead of the DSR-250.
    The JVC GY-HD110 allows you to shoot in either SD DV or HDV modes compared to SD DV or DVCAM on the Sony DSR-250.
    The DSR250 has been around since 2000 and will probably be discontinued when Sony’s warehouse finally runs out of stock. Its never been a good seller for us.
    I used to shoot my home stuff with a DSR-PDX10, but sold it when i heard it was going to be discontinued. Took me a while to find a small Canon HDV20 to replacement. PDX10 is a great camera.
