Tks John,
Yes I’ve tried both encoders and yes I’ve tried encoding from the HD render as well, all yielding the same results.
I’ve played the files on multiple computers and a ps3 with all the same results.
A bit confused as to what the problem is.
I have ended up rendering a wmv with no syncing issues at all.
I would much rather render to mp4 though -smaller file and less render time.

quicktime animation seems to be the quickest to render out as well.

Tks Matt for explaining that I had all my object preview settings set to high quality. I changed the all the object preview values to 3 and ProAnimator was back up to full speed. I kept all the final values to .01 for the final render -looked great.
And tks for letting me know that Quicktime doesn’t show the full quality of the renders accurately.
I sure would love to see an update for ProAnimator to utilize more than one cpu core. Waiting is tough when you’re wanting to create :).
Tks again!

They’ve been researching and believe that WMV is the best format for what they’re doing in Swish. But ya they know that they will be learning a few things now.
I got a decent key using Vegas myself with the HDV files, but I’m not adding the backgrounds -so we’re all stuck here -hence why they’ll be attempting the key now.
It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Thanks for the post Adam. My logic is similar.
My personal thoughts are to charge a different fee for rendering. My gear is running and working hard while rendering and I feel it fair to be compensated for the time it takes. I can’t do anything else on my mac till the render is finished.
I also agree that each project and budget should be handled a bit different if needed.
All your comments are helpful guys!

tks for the thread posting leslie -very helpful!
my clients have decided they’re going to learn to key. I just render out a WMV for them and I’m done.t.

sorry to burst your bubble leslie-but no. they’re just rookies when it comes to working with video -that’s it. they’re good clients.
i’ll see if they can handle a png sequence and see if I can figure out how to create one.
