Here is an image (I hope) of the shortcut list I got with my upgrade. I also got one for DVDA.

Actually I got the Pro8 upgrade and it did come with the “Keyboard Commands”? Don’t know why some would and some would not.

I also use the program EndItAll to stop any unnecessary programs from running in the background. It will usuallly end up closing 10-12 programs that I did not even know were running on my editing computer. No web connection or word processing etc programs installed.

Never have a problem with capture. Dell 2.4, duocore with 2G and NVidia 2 head card.

[Charlotte Deelstra] “I am trying to overlap a sequence of my video with text. I’d like it to be a black + white text – black letters, white glow around it. (example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xQja0XMxfg) My problem: when I make my text black, it becomes transparant. Can anyone help me out here? I’d be greatful!”

I did not see an example of what you were talking about when I went to that link. But if you place the standrd text with see through background (Checkered alpha channel) and set the color to black. Place it on a track of its own above your video. Then use the track motion and click on the 2D glow.
Black text with white glow ow whatever color glow you want.

PS be sure the alpha slider is set to zero. Thats the end opposite the black.

I would recommend connecting your 360 (what is that? I assume an analog unit) into a miniDV and then out via firewire to your computer. Firewire cards are cheap ($20-30) but your cam needs a pass through feature where it converts analog to digital. Most of themm do, even the less expensive ones. Capturing by USB is very iffy.

First, what are you capturing. Regular DV.avi (like from mini DVD tapes) should be captured via firewire from the camera or deck and do not need any ‘capture card’.

That said, what is your previewe window set at. Should probably be set at Preview (auto) anything higher than that starts to choke all but the strongest computers. Especially as effects are added.
