On the view mwnu choose video bus track. The help files do a decent job of explaining it under ‘supersampling’

Any idea if the PD150 was included in that recall thingy?

If you give DVDA anything but a compliant MPeg2 with AC3 audio it wants to rerender. Your best bet is to render in Vegas to MainConcept DVDA compliant Mpeg2 with a separate AC3 audio render. If they are both placed in the same folder and named the same (test.mpg and test.ac3 for example) DVDA will find the correct audio when you drop the video in and it will not have to rerender it which will save time and resolution.
Try it, I yhink you’ll like it!

Just curious, did you render this wmv file from Vegas?
-
1. What format was your original footage?
2. Are you using the MainConcept MPeg2 encoder?
3. VBR or CBR? One pass or 2 pass?
4. How long is your project?
5 Are you rendering them to MPg2 in Vegas or in DVDA (if using DVDA)?
Ini other words , need more information. -
I think by having having the same problem in two different cameras that you have eliminated the cams as the source of the problem. That only leaves the tape stock or the operator:>). If the operator and operating technique can be ruled out (which I think it can) then that only leaves the tape stock. I think your supposition of getting some bad tapes holds water. Have never had this problem. But don’t use Pana tapes – use solely Sony tapes which I have never had a problem with (fingers crossed).

If you are authoring your DVD in DVDA you need to make a couple of changes in the default settings or it will create very low volume. I am not in front of my editing machine right now so I can’t tell you what the cahnges are. Spot will know and might chime in and you can probably search for ‘low volume’ and find the answer as it has been a thread many times.

March 25, 2008 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro: replace a selection from the timelineI’m not sure what ‘locks’ is but you could probably (S) Split the section of video that you want to move and drag it to the end. You then would have to manually close the gaps unless you have rippple engaged (which I usually don’t)

First if you turn off DV scene detection you Will get just one long event rather than having it broken inyo the scenes when you pause.
You obviously have captured your clips. Have you gotten then loaded into Vegas? If not just open Vegas, click on project media tab. At the top you’ll find an “obtain media” or something like that icon. That will give you a browse function. Browse to your captured clips and double click on them. This will bring them into the project and they will be listed in the project media.
Then just drag any clip to the time line. This will create two tracks, one video and one audio. Drag another clip and drop it on the time line beyond the first clip. You now have still two tracks but two clips on each track. Just drag the secon clip over until it attaches to the rear of the first clip. Thses will play as one longer clip now.
Play the clips and find the ‘camera turned sideways” sections.
Use the space bar to pause and play. To fine tune your curser location use the right and left arrows on the key board. When you find the beginning of the ‘bad’ section hit S on the keyboard. This will split the scene at that point. Then move the curser to the end of the ‘bad’ section and het S agaiin. Highlight the ‘bad’ section and hit delete. If you have automatic snapping turned on the gap will close and you will hjave deleted the bad section. If you don’t have it on you will have to manually drag the second section and rejoin it with the first. It took a lot of typing to explain this. It will only take you about 10 seconds to do it. Most of the things in Vegas are this simple, you just have to dive in.
Good luck.
