Fewer features, less support, less performance optimization, the UI has come a long way from so overall usability or “speed” of use CS6 etc.

CS6 was great but it would be pretty rough compared to the CC versions. Also there’s no support for newer formats and the projects you’ve made with CC aren’t backwards compatible.

In addition to this you’ll need to set the outputs in the speaker setup menu. If you have un-assigned outs in the output drop downs the sound isn’t going anywhere.

Operating system? Hardware? Are you trying to play the audio through an I/O device or a soundcard? Have you checked the “use system audio output” in the video and audio I/O settings?

Resolve officially supports only Windows 10 at this point so you might run into some snags.

You didn’t give any specific specs so I’ll have guesstimate that this card has either 1 or 2 gigs of VRAM. 2 gigs is barely enough for HD footage and this is probably why your computer is crashing.

Yeah. Maths. You give it a resolution and it will create some standard coloured bars and fit them into that. Just make a project template that has your own bars already imported or create a Premiere plugin or something.

There’s no file. The bars are generated to the required resolution when you make a new item.

Try using jpeg or tiff sequences, depending on the disk space you have available. I wouldn’t use compressed formats for my VFX masters.

If someone is asking for help and does not take the time to give me information to troubleshoot the situation there’s nothing I can do to help with the situation. Jake could’ve probably made the comp lighter but he never got back to us so…
Spencer’s approach is solid but it requires a render farm setup that a normal After Effects user probably doesn’t have.
