That looks quite good actually. The problem with the AIOs is the fact that you really can’t upgrade them. You might get a basic tower for cheaper and with more power.

You could also try the color stabilizer effect to deal with the constantly changing light condition.

I’d guess that the high speed footage is shot into a file that has the 1200fps footage running at 29,97. That is the case with my Casio FH100.

I have the Boris Continuum Complete set and it’s a great bang for buck-kind of set. Red Giant’s Particular is pretty much the standard for particle effects in AE.

You could use the mesh warp effect.

It really doesn’t matter. AVCHD is a horrible resource hog of a codec and I’d transcode the footage to something else before doing anything with it.
