IIRC DNxHD only supports the codec setting you give it when exporting although you can enter some other values in resolution. The resolution options are 1280×720 and 1920×1080.

https://Wwwwaaaaait a minute. Are you trying to play the files straight from an SD card? I wouldn’t be surprised if you had performance problems then. Copy the card with the whole file structure intact to a fast(er) harddrive.

Well they are both supported in 720p.

That’s a pretty good one because it supports a lot of RAM which is great for AE. You might want to check the HP Z-Books (I have the older Elitebook, it’s great.) and the Dell mobile workstation line too.

Well… Who made the proxies and what RAW settings did they use? You should be able to get to the RAW settings in Premiere. Right click the file in the project panel and choose source settings.
