    Hi Everyone,

Sorry if this was posted already, I didn’t see much during a search.

I am looking for the best device to send video out from Premiere Pro to our reference monitor for color correction. We currently have a Matrox MX02-Mini/Max connected to a 2010 Mac Pro that works decently but we are outputting via Component and are looking to get a completely digital output via SDI. If possible it would be nice to have an option that would be transferable to a new Mac Pro / iMac via Thunderbolt down the line. In this case I’m thinking the best bet would be a thunderbolt chassis to house an expansion card in when we move this over to the new system.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Mark

    kona 3G

I saw a list that indicated one of the thunderbolt expansion chassis
available (sonnet i think) works with the Kona Cards.

Blackmagic has a bunch of TB I/O´s. I have a Ultrastudio 3D and it has worked great.

AJA makes the T-Tap which is less than 300.00 and outputs SDI and HDMI.

[Tero Ahlfors] “Blackmagic has a bunch of TB I/O´s.”

Those are neat, but I don’t think they will output SpeedGrade to
an external monitor. (If he wanted that functionality)
