Not enough information to really say anything.

  • It sounds like the deck doesn’t have built-in timebase corrector and the sync issue happens with the analog tapes because of that.

She looks really pale and sickly green in the graded version. Unless that’s the point you’re trying to make with the grade.

[Adrielle Esteban] “Is it possible for me to transfer the Baselight project to Davinci Resolve?”

No. You probably could do CDLs but they are limited in what they can do.

February 18, 2020 at 4:43 pm in reply to: Motion Tracking Fails

Camera tracking only tracks the camera, not the object. Also your shot looks super dark so maybe the tracker’s can’t track that. It’s a pretty fast shot so maybe you could animate it by hand?

Turn down the render speed from the delivery settings or try blasting your Trashcan with a table fan to cool it. There’s been a lot of talk about overheating GPUs from the day it was released.

Those files are in a format that isn’t supported in Premiere. You’ll need to transcode them to a format that works or capture in a supported format.

February 6, 2020 at 6:46 am in reply to: Viewer changes color dramatically when playing.

[Alan Langdon] “But please tell me: Da Vinci is free and so many people have been downloading it, but can it be that anyone who wants to do beginer or intermediate color correction HAS to buy all the hardware? “

Beginner or training: no. If you want to know what exactly you’re doing or you’re actually selling grading as a service: yes.

[Alan Langdon] ” I understand that to be professional and trust what you see, yes, they are needed, but can’t one just get an aproximate look on the viewer so they can do OK corrections?”

There’s really no “OK” in color pipelines. Either it’s correct or it isn’t.

[Alan Langdon] “I just would like to believe I can learn Resolve on real jobs for less picky clients.”

If you can’t be sure what you’re seeing do you really want to sell that to a client?

This can be easily done in After Effects by using a combination of the different text animator features.
