  • If the image sequence you import doesn’t have metadata for framerate it will be imported with the indeterminate time base setting you can choose in the preferences.

Giving Resolve a cache folder it can’t write to is a user problem, not a Resolve problem.

You can’t overwrite a file that is being read for the render you are making. If you are updating your prerender you should name the export file accordingly. Like test_v01, test_v02, test_v03 etc.

  • I haven’t made any serious calibration to my home displays but my eyeball calibrated monitors don’t show a strong tint in the clips. The first one is cooler and the second one is warmer but I wouldn’t say that it’s to an effect.

Does your monitor have any white balance/color temp settings? Make a white matte in Premiere (new item – color matte) and see how it looks. Then try to set the monitor so the white is close to as pure white as you can.

  • You need to try and calibrate your monitor to a somewhat decent level. You can use the built in calibration in Windows that can be found in the display control panel settings.

If I remember correctly the duration limit for one sequence is 24 hours.

How long os the project? OMF has a 2 gig limit per .omf file so if you embed the audio you’ll need to export it in parts or collect the audio separately.

You should edit with the frame rate your footage was shot. Any standard conversions should be done to the final master.

Render your master out in 25fps. Bring it back in, right click, modify, interpret footage and change the framerate to 23,976. Render it out. The audio will be 4% slower so if you have an audio guy you’ll want to run this by him so he ccan deal with pitch changes etc.
