The camera is still covered under warranty, so we are just going to send it back to Sony for repair. Teri Murphy February 11, 2011 at 2:43 pm in reply to: Dark Spot on the lens of EX1 So do you think the dirt is on the CMOS sensor? I thought the spot would be on the lens, due to the fact that if I zoom in, the spot moves outside of the image. If it was on the CMOS, I thought it would remain in he same location when zooming in. Teri Murphy February 11, 2011 at 2:20 pm in reply to: Dark Spot on the lens of EX1 Thanks Michael for your response. I have tried to move the ND filters in and out and the spot is reduced by using ND2, but still there. Any other ideas? The camera should be covered under the Sony warranty, but before I send it back I want to make sure that there is not an easy solution. If a project does not require heavy compositing, do you see any downside to editing XDCAM EX natively? Do you see any downside to using the Economy cards, provided that we have the updated firmware? Page 1 of 2 1 2 →
