I agree, I think it is in the optics. The camera is still covered under warranty, so we are just going to send it back to Sony for repair.

So do you think the dirt is on the CMOS sensor?

I thought the spot would be on the lens, due to the fact that if I zoom in, the spot moves outside of the image. If it was on the CMOS, I thought it would remain in he same location when zooming in.

Thanks Michael for your response. I have tried to move the ND filters in and out and the spot is reduced by using ND2, but still there.

Any other ideas?

The camera should be covered under the Sony warranty, but before I send it back I want to make sure that there is not an easy solution.

What if we are editing an SD project.

Will the Mojo DX upscale the video via the HDMI connection, so that we can view the edit full screen on an HD monitor?
