    Thanks for the responses. I’m still looking at the cameras now, but what about the Sony HVR-HD1000U Digital High Definition HDV Camcorder? Is this a good camera? I’m actually a professional still photographer and don’t know enough about video… Do these upper end cameras have interchangable lenses? Does the Sony?

    I’m trying the Windows Movie Maker idea, but can’t seem to change the file to another format for exporting. If you could, can you tell me how you do it?
