    You should have no problem on that particular machine in terms of power. If you are monitoring the video through your camcorder then check that the 1394 port is disabled in the network connections panel. If windows is trying to use that port it will interrupt the data for networking signals.

    If you have anti-virus running, set it so it only scans incoming and outgoing data. Most programs scan everything that goes through the processor. In fact, temporarily disable and antivirus or firewall software that might be running.

    Just a couple of guesses. Let us know if there is still a problem.
