    You are correct. With Final Cut Express I can export to MP4 (h.264) straight from the timeline without problems. But Final Cut Express does not have the ability to batch export. That’s why I did the AIC conversion to be able to use MPEG Streamclip (free) for batch list.

    But I need invest quite a lot for batch processing, because Compressor can not be bought seperately only with FCS.

    Here is still my settings if someone has an idea what the problem might be.

    And comparison between the quality exported from Final Cut Express timeline and from MPEG Streamclip.

    Yes, it’s possible to do the conversion right of the timeline. But I have multiple projects that need conversion, so it would be nice to be able to create a batch list.

    Any other suggestions besides that. Or do I just have to start collecting money for Final Cut Studio?
