Thanks so much for your reply. I realized when I read your post that I was actually using 10.0.6 and so I tried 10.0.7 and the Euphonix works! I’m stoked!

Are you on lion? Since I upgraded to lion, every one of my programs opens the last few files that I’ve been working on, even if I saved and shut a file down before quitting the program. It’s actually pretty annoying! Perhaps its a lion issue?
