Potentially. Or the cable. Try all 4 ports first. In reality the port multiplier handles the distribution of signal, so it seems odd that one port on the card showed 3 drives and another showed 5. If the port were bad it should be all or none. Possibly two of your drives are starting to die and that they had not spun up yet by the time you plugged it into the 4th port.

Try all 4 ports with the “problem” enclosure, report back.

The official stance is that AJA will support boot camp when Apple officially supports Boot Camp in the Leopard release.

    So for now, no…but soon.

Double check your PCI Expansion Slot utility, make sure the Kona card has 4x lanes.

Are you saying you aren’t getting sync from your audio and video? How are you monitoring audio (which source, MacPro or Kona LHe)? Audio always needs to follow video so your monitoring should be hooked up via the Kona.

Maybe I’m not understanding your problem correctly though.

I just saw this and wanted to know which model MacPro you are using. I don’t have 8GB of RAM, but I do have over 2GB and have had no problems at all with a Kona3 and ProRes. I’ve actually been able to capture multiple hours of ProRes HQ with no dropped frames as well as play out with no problems.

[Mowbray] “is that a sequence setting or easy setup setting?

Your sequence should match your footage. Just use an easy setup.

After that, verify that your output matches your sequence (View, External Video).

Your output from FCP should be 1080i29.97 and you should have a downconvert on your analog output in the AJA Control Panel. You also need to set the analog output to Comp + Y/C.
