D->A, A->D was using my Xena LH to convert on passthrough an Analog source to SDI or an SDI source to analog. It works well for this.

I’ll be honest, everything looks to be set up properly in your projects settings and in Machina.

Were you able to test composite out? Do you have a KLBox or are you just using the pigtail?

I haven’t had any problems with component output or D->A or A->D with my Xena LH. Can you output SD to a composite in on the monitor? Do you have a way of testing the SDI out to see if you get a signal?

Grab a screenshot of your Machina setup tab, I’d like to see how you have everything set up.

[Bob Zelin] “to my knowlege, there is no DVCProHD Codec available for the I/O HD”

With a fast enough machine, you will be able to both ingest and output DVCProHD with the ioHD. Yes, I know this isn’t in the documentation anywhere. Just trust me.

For all intents and purposes, Bootcamp is just a set of drivers for Mac that allows *almost* full hardware functionality when booted into windows. As for software, if it works on Windows on an HP or IBM, it works in Boot Camp.

[Danrnw] “If you are into those products, why not just run them on PCs?
    Why deal with boot camp?
Are there features and benefits with them that you like better than FCP?
Or do you not use FCP? Just curious.

There are some things that PP, Vegas, and Liquid can do that FCP can’t. Alternately, there are some things that FCP can do that the others can’t. If you have the best tool for a particular job and know how to use it, why wouldn’t you?

Alternately, some post shops need the ability to work in multiple environments depending on client demands. So bootcamp support could theoretically save them time and money by having a multi-purpose machine instead of two different ones.
