    Hi Adam,
    I have a slightly different issue. As I am experiencing disk space issues, I am just curious to know if the library files (*.lib4d) I have in previous version can be used for the installation of newer version. In short can I refer and use same R14 library folder for R15 installation?

    Your response would be much appreciated.

    Regards
    Syed

    Thanks a lot Adam for giving a valuable advice. I have also found one of your responses to someone else also on the use of pMatterWaves here:

    Thanks a lot sir. I will definitely put these ideas to a test. Note that I am using XP 2.0 which does not have many advance features.

    Thanks a lot Adam. I also received a response from Michael (the artist behind the scenes). He has told me that he used a spot light and animated the Y position of it along with some other adjustments. Below is his response to be more precise:

    Thanks. You got it. I did a talk for Maxon at NAB 2015 https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaytut/nab_2015_rewind_michael_rosen …but that was one thing I didn’t have time for in the talk. The shock waves are very simple: a spot light aimed down and is animated to go up on the Y axis. You can create rings (rather than a circle) by adjusting the color gradient of the light falloff. I created green and red rings and then tinted them in after affects. But I also used the green and red to control a distortion map to add that warping-feeling. (the “light flash” was just another poly fx plain effector moving fast with a very short falloff)….Using different blend modes in AE really helps get a lot of looks out of these layers.

    Hi Joseph and others
    It seems I had a misconception that regardless of your laptop model, key combinations would be universal where NumPad is not on laptop. I will keep on trying however, have already tried ALT+M without luck. The Fn key seems to relate with only top row of function keys (F1, F2 F3 and so on, apparently) which show some hint that those functions keys have dual functionality.

    Anyways thanks a lot for taking your time and advising a possible solution.

    Regards
    Syed

    Thank you very much once again for your help.

    var myComp = app.project.activeItem;
    var myLayer = myComp.layer(1).duplicate();
    myComp.layer(2).enabled=false;

    Thanks Jake but I am less concerned about the technique to create the half-tone pattern. What I am more interested in is the placement of various elements which have enveloped the core 3d elements, like ribbon, dotted pattern and even the colors. Is it a result of using sky object with animated texture applied on it?
