January 10, 2017 at 6:29 pm in reply to: coloring the clones using random effector

    Hi Brian,
Your suggestion has worked like a charm and I am able to change the texture color of all the planes in one go while still maintaining the transparency of my plane object. I guess I need to further explore this in order to have random colored cloned objects. Attached are 3 snapshots to give you a more precise idea of my progress that I have made with your kind assistance.

Again, I am now trying to figure out which effector should I use random or shader effector in order to colorize these cloner objects randomly.

    Below are the snapshots.

    Regards,
    Syed

Step-1 (when I simply imported the images using image 2 plane plugin)

Step-2 (following Brian’s tip picked variation effect)

Step-3 (following Brian’s tip to change the colors of all textures in one go)

Just to clarify, I exported PNG sequence from C4D and imported that as footage in AE because I wanted to apply certain effects in After Effects.

December 20, 2016 at 8:40 pm in reply to: Spheres in a grid cloner explosion

    hi Brian
Thanks for responding. Bubbles will take the most of screen area but not required overly big. I will prefer slow mo effect.
I would prefer to use some falloff (of polyfx or explosion fx or may be something else) as a burst controller to gradually burst it in x direction.

I have tried explosion fx but it seems I am not being able to adjust parameters as desired. That’s why in view of my above response, can you please guide me in right direction.

Thanks again for being of great help.

Guys I am surprised not to see any response. All I need to know how you could render your animation using Maxwell plugin for Cinema instead of rendering each frame one by one. I hope to get some help this time.

    Hello Brian,
I tried to use proximal shader using camera as my proximal shader object because I wanted to reveal the stripe material based on the proximity of my camera in relation to the building objects. My building objects are a simple cubes, nothing fancy just to demonstrate what I am trying to achieve and they are used within a nested clone.

Here is link to my C4D file:

I hope you will help my pointing out my mistake.

    Thanks
    Syed

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for your response. I will dig into this proximal shader thing which I have not used so far. Your suggestion has at least given me some clue which is a good thing.

Thanks again and I will get back to you in case I need some assistance on the use of this shader.

    Have a great day!

October 16, 2016 at 3:51 pm in reply to: Cloned Lights on spline

    Hi Adam,

Thanks again. I think your suggestion not to use Align to Spline tag is much better. I have finally used Cloner’s object method and put the spline as object in Cloner.

Offset and Start/End properties are also doing a great job. Is there any way I kinda bake these lights out of this clone so that the same can be exported to After Effects?

    Thanks a lot Adam.
