Thanks for the recommendations. For now, quick and dirty I have captured on Vegas and will probably make them mov and avi see which works the best for FCP. I will hold onto the SD Card until I figure out what the deal is. It’s b- roll so I am very happy it was not something so special that I would want to do myself in….

I did try from Camera in PC Mode. I also have a special USB. drive that takes SD cards, which is what I usually use. When that did not work, I went to camera. I have not tried in a different computer. If I do it would be PC.

It seems to be the same. However, because I am in learning mode, I am going to have my husband who is detailed oriented open up the files and go through them and match them to a good card. As of now I can’t see a difference. That is one of the things I tried to look at….I really do appreciate your input

No offence is ever taken. Log and transfer is similar to P2 card, DVX 200 – I tested log and transfer with another SD card, and it pulled the files right in and I could have added any clip to the Q.
The clips play beautifully on the camera? I did find the information (like a hard drive showing up on the desktop) put still no go….It is a real puzzelment (I don’t know if I am having a dye my hair blond and move to L.A. or it’s a problem with the SD card)

I am that much of a beginner and I have another obviously a very simple answer (I apologize). I really was not doing to bad until I upgraded to 8. How do you get rid of the example word used for the preset? On another note I upgraded from Vegas 7 to 8 the media manager now says not installed. It was in 7. I have emailed Sony. I just throw that in in case you had some ideas on that.
