I think going by the route of outdated version will help you better. IMHO newer version means “basic tools + advance tools + some new tools + some redesigned tools” for making workflows shorter and more effective. While element is just some basic tools targeted at hobbyists and some basic level usage. Going outdated will definately give you a broader perspective of the power photoshop has. But as always, its not the software but the artist. So it all boils down to what you actually want to be using photoshop to do at the end of the day. I know some very talented artist who still produce very beautiful and pro work using v7.
Then, I’m not exactly sure if its allowed to buy a used version of the software (as most softwares actually come as lease not total ownership, so, transfering ownership sometimes isnt allowed. At least I know that about Maya)

Sorry Aharon, I was out of town for some time.
When I open a frame in PS, I saw the full color. However while still experimenting I encountered 2 strange occurance.
    1. Some particles actually worked (i.e. I actually succeded in making the particles show full color in AE) however whenever I try to scale up the image (sequence) size (say from 320 X 240 to 640 X 480) in AE the problem retruns. Then,

    2. There some other particles especially explosions, some early frames just wont show in color. (e.g. say I exported a 250 TGA sequence from pi3, in AE the first 50 frames exhibit the problem of showing just in white and black, say from 51 upwards show full color).

    Thanks

    Thanks Alan,

Basically, I followed Aharon’s tut on wondertouch (https://www.wondertouch.com/tutorials/aharon/CNIA/cnia.html). But, to answer your question, I saved in TGA format (I’ve a little knowledge on working with alpha channels, I bring in stuffs from Maya into AE). And then, I’ve tried intensed particles, non-intensed particles, then mixed bothi. I still come short.

    Thanks
