Hi as I said in a previous message. All I had to do was update my software….really strange but seemed to fix the problem. there is an option in Premiere pro for you to update the software

Thanks for your message. I actually managed to fix the issue….and it all it took after a day and a half was a couple of updates and “hot fixes”
The format however is Mpeg and I was able to import into a new project but it still had the same problem at the time.
