Thanks for your help mate. Maybe it’s just my brain since working with interlaced for 5 years then shooting progressive the footage just looks so much smoother – maybe it’s just me that has to get used to the new ‘flowing’ look which looks faster!

Thanks for your time responding mate! I have checked the time based setting and it says the footage is 720 at 50 frames per second I guess its right as I let fcp configure the settings when I dropped the footage on the timeline and the render bar was grey. Any other reason?!
