There are a number of magazines both printed and on-line that give feature by feature comparisons on all of the new cameras. Why not look up something that someone has already taken the time to research and print?

  • Hey Del

the “paackage” arrived on Friday. So. let’s see. The wife’s on the customary diet and we have no kids. Hmmmmmm. It’s all mine! Except for the local guys who are reading this and will flock over during the weekend.

Thanks for the clarification on those deliveries. Are either of you ready to give us a run down on likes, don’t likes, and a wish list?

I was in an accident and hve been down for three weeks including NAB. Sorry I missed it.

    Thanks

The body of your message says “DVDCAM” and nothing else. Is this a question?

Also, we would appreciate it if you would fill out your profile so that we forum leaders have some understanding as to your level of experiece and expertise. We are here to help others in the industry but we are not sales agents for Sony or anyone else except that many participant are, in-fact, agents, sales reps, or originators of some products.

When you say that the footage will be “fed” into Vegas, I for one, am not really sure what your actual meaning is. Are you asking about feeding it in as though you’re playing a tape back or are you talking about transferring files into the system? Have you chacked with the Vegas forum?

Your original question is somewhat vague and there are very few of us here who have purchased any XDCAM HD gear because I don’t think it’s even available yet.

Besides, I don’t know if anyone here has had any advanced hands-on with CineAlta XDCAM.

Chips are not made for something that intense. If you cam load enough ND filters on there first, that will work.

Any damage to the pickup(s) would be permanant and fatal.
