i converted the files from .bwf with a program called bwf2xml. this creates .mov reference files that can be used in FCP. i then exported those as .mov files so i could have independent files to work with. i’ve tried making .aiff files, too, but the same thing happens.

because they play ok in the viewer and on the G5 system, i am thinking it is some kind of sequence setting or preference, but i have gone through every setting i can find and still cant figure it out. and others have tried to fix this, too but to no avail.

yes, the clip settings are the same as the sequence settings, so i don’t think that is the problem.

i dont understand why a) the clips play in the viewer but not in the sequence, and b) why they will work on one system but not the other even when i am using the exact same project.
