    Dan,
I have the same issues with Compressor.

We have XDCAM HD files with 8 Channels, and DVCProHD files with 16 channels of audio- both formats need H264 low res files with the same audio channel configuration.

I don’t see anyway to do this with Apple Compressor.

Rhozet Carbon Coder will allow you to create an H264 with multiple audio channels, but even Carbon Coder limits H264 files to 6 pairs of audio (12 channels). I’ve contacted Rhozet about this they say
it will be addressed in a future release.

I’ve also tried Episode Pro – but it seems like the audio always gets mixed down in there too.

If anyone out there has a solution, I would really appreciate the help.

    thanks,
    steve

    yep, your right.

i realized this about 5 minutes after i posted this message…amazing.

  • thanks, doug.

i can’t believe that a major 3d program – especially one so integrated with AE – like C4D doesn’t have ANY classes offered in the 3rd largest market in the country?

WTF are they doing? where do people go to learn their software?
the only comprehensive video tutorial i can find is from VTC,
but its so old it dates back to version 6 (i think).

    very disappointing.

  • Yeah, but still wondering how to do this….is this something that can actually be done in AE, or is it actually Stop Motion photography like Stafe posted?
If it can be done in AE, i’d love to know how.

    thanks,
    steve
