    Hi Michael,

    I was told that the particular camera’s that I used were progressive in an interlace frame, therefore are interlaced.

    Yes I was sending sequence directly to DVD Studio from FCP.

    Maybe I could try CBR, with a higher bit rate, although I think something else is really a miss!

    So I guess I’m fine.

    I tried last night bringing in footage at 1080p25 and the sequence started off as 1080p25 but when I added the footage it flipped back to being 1080 50i?

    What you mention about the Sony cameras capturing a progressive signal in an interlaced frame, would that also be the same for the Canon HV40?

    Yes 1080 but the footage was shot progressive and captured interlaced
