Could be a corrupt/bad bit of video you have there on the timeline.
Watch the preview window while rendering and try to identify the exact

Which Screenshake plugin is this?
More than likely its an old plugin that’s not been updated for several years,

What are you playing it in, when you hear the audio quality issues?

That’s correct Dave, Sometimes its even discussed more than on a weekly bases.
The only thing that yields any further significant benefit in Vegas
