There is where your problem lies Martin, something is conflicting
with your usually smooth Mercalli workflow on this new system, tweaking
here and there as you have been doing is not gonna help.
Get rid of all non essential programs, bloatware, antivirus, drivers etc

You need to have Snapping enabled and also Snap to Markers and

Man, in a couple years from this we same one here is gonna look back on
a 16TB Drive and laugh at how we were first blown away with such petty
drive capacity, lol.
I remember when i got my first 80GB hard drive, man i was excited and
thought i could store the world on it… see, and that’s a laughing stack

Your question made it clear you have much to learn on this topic. You say you
only make videos for yourself, family and facebook, then you have no need
for a calibrated monitor, you can stick with your HDTV.A broadcast/calibrated Monitor is the right path to take if one is
serious about accurate color correction etc. That’s it plain and simple,

My guess is that its definitely the codec used in your source video as John
also mentioned. Posting the detailed info/codec of that particular video would give us a better idea.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)
