Marker placement question
I am attempting to place pictures at markers (VegasPro13) that I have placed in time with a music track. I placed the markers and then went back to fine tune their placement but I couldn’t always place them exactly where I wanted them. I don’t know if it is because I have ‘snapping’ on or if I do not have the correct ‘grid spacing’ or ‘ruler format’ selected. The grid spacing is set to seconds, but I tried measures also. The ruler format is usually set to ‘time and frames’, but I also tried ‘measures and beats’. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That’s likely the problem. Disable Snapping-F8. That should do it, or select which Snapping you want to disable from the Options Menu.

You need to have Snapping enabled and also Snap to Markers and

This is probably because you were trying to place them between frame boundaries to match the music. Unfortunately, you don’t want to do this. As you know, Video is frame based and for NTSC video which runs at 29.97fps you only get 30 positions within a second to place a marker for video synchronization. If you disable this, you will have video playback problems. Just move the marker to the closest frame. That’s as good as it gets.

As always, thank you all for your advice. I will try your suggestions but I think John Rofrano probably nailed my problem concerning precise placement of the markers.
