Actually, I think I need to create a tracking area and then possibly key frame the last few frames myself (when the phone goes off screen) but make sure all the points are as they were when the phone is on screen, and just move/rotate them all together?…

Thanks guys! Very helpful.

I am basically putting an image on a phone screen in Mocha and AFX.

The phone is off screen then on screen. I am having trouble tracking this and then putting a surface on it. When the movement is going off screen my surface gets very ‘skewed wiff’.

I tried this tracking tutorial https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/2/1017437 but it seems the object was tracked off screen automatically. As the phone has motion blur on it mine has not worked like this. Any ideas to track motion objects off screen to ensure the surface is always at the correct angles etc?

After hearing great things about Avid 6.5 and its 3D capabilities this is of a surprise.

So really the only options are to use MVCtoAVI to split the streams, Cineform, Magix or Sony Vegas.

Humph. As I mainly work on a Mac this workflow will be troublesome!

I have linked the MTS files with AMA.

I tried both side by side and over/under but it seems these settings are not correct – the video was stretched and the left and right views were way out.

I have run the MTS’s through MVCtoAVI program on my PC and it has split the streams to left and right. This seems to be the correct method. But I am surprised AVID cannot do this itself?

Am I missing something?

Thanks to you both! Two questions, I attempted Kevin’s suggestion but do individual letters have anchor points? I have had a play but cannot figure out how to link an individual letter anchor point? Unless I am silly 🙂

How would go about partnering?
