ok so a .mlp is a Dolby digital file which Encore is claiming “the correct software to decode the media does not exist.” Im hearing a company called Surcode has the correct drivers for this?
The Dolby file is 5.1 that was created out of Protools.
Anyone know a workflow for this?

yeah would have never thought to divide that but worked perfectly.

thanks. what about canon footage which was shot slow mo (59.94) then converted to 23.98?

the footage was never transcoded and plays native at 23.98. i think the alexa doesn’t need to be transcoded and records native at Prores and other compatible formats. its 444.
so far it looks like 250% works well, but im going to try those percentages as well.

seems the 24 frames wasnt an issue. needed to relink the mxf files in premiere to prores files, then xml. everything worked then.

good to know. thanks a lot. is it too late to pulldown the footage after its already edited? or will that shift the edit points?

is there some sort of pulldown I need to do? Final cut looks like it wants the footage to be 23.98.

yeah it seems chapter markers work pretty well. found this program for getting markers back from a producer.
