DV compression is a consistant data rate. There is no way to change it. What you can do is edit your video and make it shorter so it comes in at under 2 gigs.

Other alternative, purchase more storage from DropBox.

You are limited to 720×480. If you make it larger, your image will degrade. Try a higher bit rate when encoding h.264.

Use 3 way color corrector filter. Use picker to select what should be white and what should be black and adjust accordingly.

If you want to stay HD, you will need to input via component.

Check out the the Panasonic AVHS300 or Sony Anycast.

You do it in Compressor. For complete information and instructions, press the Help tab in Compressor.

Export a QT movie from FCP from your ProRes sequence.

Drop that into Compressor and choose a h.264 preset.

It’s not the h.264 that is causing the breakup. It is the XDCam 1080i format.
You can try a higher bit rate in Compressor. 6000k.

Hard drives are very very inexpensive these days. If possible, clone your current drive to a much larger drive and install it in your computer.
