I have had pi for a long time though I don’t get to use it very often. It appears to me that so many of the new libraries look pretty much alike, same old, same old…we’ve got explosions galore, emitters that barely look like waterfalls, lots of fireworks and not much else. In the very first library there was a walking mouse. Never needed to use it but I would like more like that. Lets have actual characters/subjects….we already have a couple of fish and crab emitters that look a bit cartoonish but how about some realistic looking ones, sharks, whales, cars, animals of all sorts, waving grass, planes, reefs, real objects that could be inserted into a project. That’s what I would like to see. There are a million background animation companies out there but none produce objects with alphas such as I mention that could be used in an app such as pi, Motion, AE. If they did, I think big money could be made. Not everyone can draw and create these type of animations using Maya and the like.

I haven’t used particleillusion in a while and just ran into the same issue with the ‘save alpha’ grayed out. Opened the pilluision render and checked it there and all is okay. However, will there be a fix for this anytime soon? Was also under the impression that the ability to create text within pillusion was soon to be incorporated but nothing yet and that was over a year ago. What is going on?

Thank you Elvis for your quick reply…maybe something is missing from my understanding of this but you are correct in that manually adjusting the stage made a real difference in how the export resulted. In the future, for an HDV 1440x1080i sequence, what settings would you use?

One other question, I couldn’t find the answer in the manual, how do I take several individual emitters from various libraries and combine them into a Favorites library?

    Thanks again—steve

Many thanks, there were some good ones in the folders you sent me to. Still not the one that is shown on the home page, emitter #32 but these will do.
Again, thanks. Went to that spread sheet page but other than the home page, nothing there that I could click on to.
    Again, thanks for your help
