[andy patterson] “I see all the problems that plagued the GUI of FCPX are still there. FCPX still has a Fisher Price Like GUI after more than six years of being in the market.”

In your opinion! I heartily disagree, it’s not “plagued with problems”

Apparently the Ripple will be supported by “Chromatic” in FCPX soon as well

[Paul Neumann] “Lumetri with a control surface is delicious.

The Lumetri integration in PPro is very good, If Apple aren’t going to improve the colour board themselves then I think they should at least give developers a better way of integrating their CC plugins rather than the clunky floating windows we get at the moment.

[Nathan Kendall] “frustrating how I paid good money for the software and apple wants to over simplify there app so that pros and even people that have a pro mindset like myself have to get bogged down because there simplifying of things is just bewiddleing. “

It will be a lot less frustrating if you take the time to learn the software. It really isn’t “oversimplified” when you learn how to use it. You can also add in features like curves via 3rd party plugins, yes it costs more but it’s still cheaper than the subscription model.

[Bill Davis] “Happy accidents should be encouraged.”

Such as searching for an FCPX forum and being delighted that you’ve found a great forum that has a whole bunch of experienced Editors discussing all aspects of NLE’s and Post-Production

[Bill Davis] “Or would that be unreasonable and kinda d***ish?

Implying that some people on here are being exactly that?

Very interested in Tim’s thoughts on all this……

Does it crash while you are doing anything in particular? Could be a corrupt media file somewhere

[Bill Davis] “I don’t think that’s the same thing as coming here and seeing EVERY SINGLE POST about something OTHER than the software billboarded in the forum header.

    But it’s interpretive, I suppose.”

Obviously as EVERY SINGLE POST actually ISN’T about something OTHER than FCPX.

    (Shouting’s fun!)
