Gary, can you confirm that files that have been “unwrapped” by XDcam Transfer do work OK in FCPX

At some point will XDCam files work natively in FCPX or will we be forced to keep unwrapping in XDcam Browser?

That’s depressing because XDcam Transfer won’t work with Lion and Sony have announced they will never support it because they want you to use the awful XDCam Browser, which probably won’t work with Lion when it’s released anyway.

Luckily I already have PPro which works with XDcam natively just fine

Is it not true that we will need XDcam browser less as we will not have to “unwrap” the files for FCPX.

Well that confirms there is still a suite of tools, I’m hoping more details next week after the Lion and iOS announcements have had time to settle in.

I’ve just spent a couple of days editing using PPro on my Mac – I’d completely forgotten what a Kernal Panic looks like until yesterday!

Fingers crossed that FCPX is at least usable when it launches
