“You’re right it wasn’t about the program, it was about Apple suddenly EOLing a piece of of software used by millions with no path to upgrade projects. Which made Editors “feel” angry 🙂

I would certainly export the video in sections of 20-30 clips and then build the finished version out of them. No way I would expect any NLE to play all those highly compressed clips simultaneously

No DVD is SD and a huge drop in quality from HD. Not much you can do to fix that. Sell your clients on the idea of Blu-rays if you can
