I have a DSR-45 and had to deal with a PAL issue awhile ago.

It plays Pal in your monitor window, but won’t export through firewire. I was able to capture through my AJA IO-LA, but I think only through the monitor out, which is the RCA plug.

It wasn’t a very important project, but it was kind of hack way of getting the video out.
