    Problem solved! I reinstalled the latest version of QT and everthing magically worked fine. I suppose that Apple doesn’t want you to go backwards as their reinstall of 6.5.2 did not work properly and obviously left some remainder of QT 7 lurking somewhere on my system (although I couldn’t find it in Quicktime receipts).

    Thanks to all that responded and tried to help me in the last eight hours. The speed of this forum and genuine helpfulness of everyone has been great.

    Sorry about that. If you look a few posts down you will see a very detailed explaination of my problem. My posts got seperated, probably something wrong I did.

    Anyway…Problem solved! I reinstalled the latest version of QT and everthing magically worked fine.
