Hi there. Thanks for the feedback but after another couple of hours of trying to tweak this it’s not working still.

For some reason it’s working fine in the render as dialogue but not in the batch render script.

Can someone troubleshoot this for me? I know it works in Vegas5 but not 9c.

Create a 16/9 sd project set to 1.22.
Create a template as 392 by 240 in wmv and save it.
Batch render out as that format.

Please let me know what you find. I’m thinking it must have something to do with 9c and how it reads scripts. I can’t seem to find the “output frame” command in either script…

I would hate to lose this script as I seem to use it every week for dozens of things.

Hi there. Thanks for the response.

I have created my own templates. They still don’t appear to let me note that it shouldn’t be “letterboxed”.

In Vegas the “do not letterbox” selection is in the file/render options panel but not inside the template. My default in “render as” is set to “Stretch video to fill output frame size” already.

Has anyone used the batch render script with 1.22 non square pixel footage?

Yep. That was all takes. Why waste your time on greenscreen when you’ve got everything there you need? Multiple shots makes this sucka simple as pie.

    What Tim said.

Make some connections and keep it going. Don’t take business away from them but make sure your name is connected to the work you do with them, at least in the client’s minds. 😉

Why not just go with a Sony Z1U? You’ll be able to get some decent 1080I footage that is nicely convertable to 720p with most editors? It’s a pretty cheap cam with XLR connections and lots of pro options. I’ve been using, and editing with mine for about a year now. It’s nice! Cheap on ebay, that’s where I found mine. In your price range…

I use Ultra2 and it’s not a bad program. If you sit and tweak it, it tends to come out looking pretty good. It’s not as good as Keylight for aftereffects but it handles long files better. 🙂

  • wow. I didn’t know he wasn’t getting paid for em. I can’t believe that. Wow. Aharon, you rock!!!

  • I tend to use markers in trimmer and then drop into the timeline. Like someone said earlier, I use the waveforms a lot to figure out where my talent stops talking. With larger interviews I’ll tend to use jkl in the trimmer to avoid long periods of scrubbing.

I use a shuttlepro with larger projects. It’s really handy and has the scrubber that works scookum.
