I see what you mean. I’m not sure if there is an answer for that. Here is a quick fix for this problem:
-Edit
-Project Properties
-Change the Height to 405 (16×9 Anamorphic is really 720 x 405)Everything fits like it should in motion and the project file will open up just fine in FCP, regardless if it is 720 by 480 or 720 by 480 anamorphic. Hope this helps.

What template are you using? I just changed the “Sketch-Open.NTSC” template to 16×9 anamorphic and it did not stretch while maintaining it’s proper aspect ratio.

I had your same problem when I upgraded Snapz Pro. If you go back to Version 2.0.3 it will work perfectly in Motion.Stephen Smith

I’m saying drop zones act differently then photos and clips. The name will stay Drop Zone. If it’s just a photo or a clip and you drag the “photo” from your File Browser to a different photo on the timeline the arrow will turn into a hook shaped arrow. When you let go of the mouse the name of the original photo will change to the new one in the timeline. It sounds like that’s what you’re doing so I’m not sure why it’s treating it differently. Apple has a article on deleting user preferences, do you want it?
