It has to analyze the whole clip in Motion 3. The way around it is to export out the part you want to stabilize and then re-import it. Then apply the filter and it will have a lot less to analyze and take less time. This is called baking. Best of luck.

iStockphoto has some great vector maps. Keep in mind you can’t bring in layered vector images so you will need to know enough to turn every state into its on layer and how to bring it into Photoshop.
Be careful when looking for free vector images. A lot of sites that say they offer free vector images are only offering it for free for non-commercial work. Read the legal terms with the image before you use it.

I would simplify things and ignore the cross hairs. If it is an iPad with green for the screen use the 4pt tracker and track your image over the green and cross hairs. Just track the 4 edges of the green screen. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Your are right, I use AE as well. I think Motion and AE will both take the same amount of time. The only advantage I can think of with Motion is the real time capabilities, but if you do that movement through time look where you have a lot of layers and a lot of masks it won’t play in real time once you get heavy into it. To make the string 3D select the shape and then go to the shape tab, stroke. In the middle of your options you’ll find a Local 3D check box. Check it and your pearls will become 3D.
The string of pearls never move. In the middle of the groups there is a Camera Layer. The camera is moving to give the feeling that the pearls are moving.
