I just double and tripled checked my projects and now there saving fine. I think I ran into my problem somewhere when I was creating a short intro with many keyframes and I kept on saving and deleting the files as I went on. But now its working fine. Thank so much John. Have a good day.

There will be nothing at all on the time line when I re-open. Im only hitting “save as” before I close. I have not began to render yet.

Thanks but once I hit save Ill see my “filename.veg”. but when I close down and reopen there is no media on the time line..

  • ok thanks.. I have all those options.. Im still not comfortable taking apart my PC myself, so for the meantime I would probably pick up an external hard drive.. Do you recommend eSATA or usb.. Also what brand is moderatley inexpensive that can handle hd videos.. The videos I make are usally 5-8min in length (out of about a half hour of footage). Ive read about the G-raids but I dont feel like spending that much more money.

    thanks,
    Steve

  • Thanks so much for the extra info.. Im ready to put this desktop to work!

  • yea sorry! thats what I meant.. So thats what Ill do I need to pick up an external hardrive for the video files. Thanks I was just making sure

  • wow thanks.. theres so much info out there that its a little overwhelming lol. I was thinking about getting Premiere but thought it might be overkill for me right now. im going to see where im at money wise and if its right for me and ill check it out before i buy my PC…BTW with the your Premiere are you using the NVIDIA 460 right now? if so how would your rate it?
