I did not produce that video, but I would have been proud to be involved. But I wasn’t. It’s produced by a College Humor website, and they were trying to make a point. Did you even see the video or are you assuming that because “porn” is in the title that it contains real porn, so you will complain without even seeing what you are complaining about? Clean it up? There is a naked couple in the background who are so pixellated that you have to try really hard to tell that they are even naked.

“Would anyone know anything about whether music should be compressed in a movie?”
How are you distributing? If on DVD or BluRay, then the audio *will* be compressed.
But, in general and including video, you shoot and edit in the highest resolution available to you. Only compress at the last step.Steve Mann

“That would suggest that the preview isn’t a true preview or mirror image.”
Well, it is, but you are observing a difference in players.
Where I was going was – looking for a difference in the BD player performance. Your background music may have run over a buffer limit of the player, and if trimming the length of the background music fixed the problem, then there’s your answer.
Back when writable DVDs were coming online we had similar problems. A player with strict compliance with the DVD specs would not play a DVD-R, but it would play a DVD+R. I suspect that BD player manufacturers are also experiencing similar issues as BD players differ in how they meet or play outside the BD specs. So, if some players will play a 3-minute music background and some won’t is no big surprise.

Just a guess, but try a 1-minute music background.

Your questions are somewhat ambiguous. Do you want to change the color of all the buttons on one menu or one button in a single menu?
Button colors are determined by the color set for all buttons on one menu. If you have more than one menu then you can define a different color for that menu’s buttons.
I’m not sure what you are asking in the second question. You can make any button go to any other menu.

It shouldn’t make a bit of difference in the quality, but muted tracks are considered during compositing, so there is a small performance penalty and rendering may take a few seconds longer.
Why not use embedded projects for your titles?Steve Mann

To Reset all preferences and delete cached data:
Holding Ctrl + Shift while starting Vegas will reset all preferences and delete cached data prior to loading the program. If you have recently installed new hardware (especially a new graphics card), this is necessary because Vegas may be loading settings for your old hardware.Steve Mann

I use Belarc Advisor – the free version tells you more about your PC, the installed software, the Windows updates and your network than you ever thought you should know.

How does Hollywood do it on DVD?
With lots of money.
As john said, with teams of people, and huge renderfarms.
And more money.Steve Mann
