    Bill,

Did you ever figure out how to pull detailed metadata off a C100 AVCHD directory? I need to determine the white balance temperature for something I shot a couple weeks ago, and the White Balance field is blank in the EXIF metadata section of Premiere Pro. Is there an alternate program that can actually read the detailed metadata from a C100, or is it possible that the camera isn’t even recording that metadata to begin with? Any insights you’ve uncovered would be hugely appreciated!

    thanks,
    Steve

I’m really interested in how CatDV handles the conversion of media from the Final Cut 7 Browser to media in the Final Cut X event library. In particular, I’d like to know how CatDV handles the conversion from subclips in FCP7 to favorites in FCPX. I’m working on a large documentary project; I’ve subclipped all the footage in FCP7 and would now like to port the project over to FCPX, making all the subclips appear as favorites. Will this work? The one thing I’m worried about is that timecode numbers for subclips in FCP7 can overlap but timecode numbers for favorites in FCPX cannot overlap. Has anyone been able to convert FCP7 subclips to FCPX favorites using CatDV?
